Happy New Year..
Just a quick observation on the Kiwi new year celebrations. It seems that they have the same idea as most other places, i.e lots of "piss", but there is a Maori family living next door to us, and they are out in the garage with guitars and amps having a "hooey" and the Dingles from round the corner have a tent set up in the middle of the paddock and horses with beer barrels and a huge fire going - it is going to be hard to sleep tonight especially after the heat today, but thankfully the downpour has taken some of the heat out of the air.
