Singapore

By the time we arrived in Singapore we were a bit weary, the flight up from Auckland had been o.k, but being a night flight made it a bit easier. As did the fact that it was 28 degrees at 5 am, in contrast to the major thunderstorm and hail we left behind in Auckland.

We arrived at the hotel to be told that our room we had requested wasn't available and that we would have to have another room.... we were a bit concerned at first but the receptionist smiled and told us that we would be put in the executive garden room, only about 15 paces from the pool!! Super king size bed, 2 settees and flat screen tv and all the trimmings you would expect for a top room. We had stayed there on our way to NZ last year and the guy saw this from our booking and gave us this deal at no extra cost.

So, it was straight out in to the pool with the kids. bit of travelling in to the harbour area later on and a great little break in the middle of our trip. Great breakfast to set us up on the way to London and a lovely dawn walk on the beach. Best part is, we have 3 days to enjoy there on our way back to NZ!!
