Woken up with a start Friday morning - we had a mini tornado pass the bottom of our street at 3am! It left a trail of devastation across town with trees uprooted and smashed houses and property. The electricity went off and I stood on the deck thinking I had seen lighting, but it was a transformer blowing on the other side of the paddock, but there wasn't a sound - very strange it was. All we heard before it passed was very heavy rain on the roof.
There was a big clean up on Saturday, it is just amazing to think of the power of these things when we saw the damage on Friday. Ironic thing was, there was an EXPO on at the town hall that day about surviving disasters haha
