after our trip to Raglan yesterday, we had a little pan of cockles that we collected. We didn't take too many because we were a bit unsure, but we have just done them and they were very, very nice!
Jan was eating them out of the shell, whereas I put a few in vinegar and water to try and get the taste that I enjoyed so much at home (but I also put prawns in vinegar so that's me...)
Another little thing for us. Just need a bit more success in the fishing stakes and we'll be enjoying a bit of nature's bounty.
