Told off by my sister in law :)

Well, here it is, managed to get on to my blog again. Couldn't remember my password and have spent best part of half an hour trying to reset the thing - so hope you happy now Alex!!

Will have to play catch up a bit......

Well, been a busy old week. Kids started back at school this week after their summer break.

Kieran has applied for the school council now he is a year 8 student and he has a MALE teacher for the first time - Mr Daily from Canada. Spoke to him on Thursday evening at the school pool party, nice guy, and I'm sure Kieran will love having a man as a teacher. He seems to have a great rapport with him already. Louisa is getting on with it too, she has the same teacher as last year which is probably good for her.

Wednesday was Waitangi day, a national holiday to commemorate the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi between the Maori and the British crown. A very controversial document to this day but we don't care coz we get an extra holiday hahahaha

Kieran also had his final trial for the Cambridge cricket first eleven. Unfortunately he didn't get in - he was really upset, but we fussed over him and he not that bothered now. They picked a young side, most of them were already picked and there were only a few places left, but as one of the eldest there, he was on a hiding to nothing. Thing is he is quite good at cricket, so their loss I say.

The school dentist came on Thursday and Friday. Kieran we upset on Thursday coz he has to have 2 tiny fillings and has got to get a brace. Louisa fared a bit worse, she has to have 5 and a special protective coating on her teeth, as well as a small brace. But it is early days and we have to discuss things as yet. I was at the dentist Thursday to have more treatment on my missing crown, drilling for the post and preparation and impressions taken.

So, having a bit of a quiet weekend coz I on callout, bit of tidying around etc. Just found a huge bunch of cherry tomatoes round the back of the garage, there are so many tomatoes round there at the moment, the veg patch is growing wild. We think we have pumpkins growing now and the corn looks like it has had it with the drought conditions we have here now.

So, will post a pic of the kids going back to school.

More later TTFN
