First thing we saw at Heathrow was a load of litter on the floor - and security cameras by the hundreds!! It was quite disconcerting to see this. On arriving at Manchester airport much the same, although not on the same scale it has to be said.
We got back to Liverpool about 0030, seeing familiar views but noticing the crowding of the houses and the cars in the streets. Quite noticeable after the space we used to in NZ. But it was great to meet the folks again. Friends and family visits make it a very busy time for us, there is so much pressure on us from all angles with meetings having been arranged months in advance and people travelling from far and wide.
So, looking forward to more of the same this week, a chance to chat with the family and tell how our new life is.
