Meri Kirihimete!

my grasp of Maori is not good, but this seems appropriate for this time of year!!

Been very busy of late, with the end of term for the kids, helping at numerous functions at the school and the church.

Attended Christmas in the park by Lake Te Ko Utu in Cambridge, great night out. Had a picnic with us, few beers, bottle of wine and sat with a load of friends from the school. Kids had a blast too, dancing and singing.  Dave Dobbyn, NZ icon, was the headline act, but the local band, Late 80's Mercedes were brilliant!  They are a jazz/funk style band, a bit wacky, but very good.

Couple with Christmas was Jan's 40th birthday on the 18th.  There should be a ban on childbirth around this time of year - too busy LOL, but she had a good day, even though she had to work.... amazing cake delivered to the restaurant we had a meal at, one of her friends from work had baked this work of art with fresh fruit, lilies and roses on top. Thanks Cheryl Ann..

Day after I had to have another operation on my knee.... surgery was delayed due to a fire at the hospital earlier in the day, but it got done, and now we just have to wait and see.

So, it is Christmas, the weather has been good, although we have a bit of rain at the moment, good news for the garden because they are bone dry already.

So, Meri Kirihimetd, Feliz navidad, Happy Christmas to anybody who reads this.....

Steve
