Kieran took part in this today with his school. There were hundreds of kids taking part from all over the Waikato region, and many of them represent the region and go to swimming clubs daily, and you could tell! There were some real fantastic swimmers out there.
Give K his due, he give it a go, competing in the 100m breast stroke and 100m freestyle. It must have been difficult seeing the level of competition his school was up against, especially some of the private schools with their c0-ordinated swimming suits and caps, professional coaches and all the mod cons. But they gave it their best shot, and considering the handicap they were up against, they all enjoyed the day.
Louisa had her netball trial at school too. She thinks she did ok, but won't find out if she successful until after the Easter break, we will have to wait and see.....
