We just come back from the ANZAC servive in the town hall. Kieran's Scout group were represented there, and they all turned out in their uniforms with the flags etc. It was brilliant, the top brass turned up, there was an air force Nimrod flew over a few times, guards at the cenotaph fired a salute on their rifles again, and to top it all, Kieran was in the party that took the wreaths up to the cenotaph.
A lone piper even found time to play "The leaving of Liverpool" that old sea shanty, just as he was preparing to walk up to the cenotaph, which we thought was quite appropriate, cue tears and blubs from us :D
